Family Tree Name
Has anyone heard of the Italian female name, Ingournata? It was my great great grandmother's name, I'm not sure if I have the spelling right, but that is how it is pronounced.I've never heard of it anywhere else. If anyone has any info. on it I'd appreciate it.
Thanks-
Laurie

Her name was probably Incoronata, which according to my Italian name dictionary (Santi e Fanti by Enzo La Stella T.) is a Marian devotion named from the title of the Virgin Mary "Maria Santissima Incoronata", which I think if I'm interpreting the Google translation correctly, means something like "Mary Most Holy Crowned", and was an alternate title in southern Italy of statues of Mary depicting her as Queen of Heaven.
