Archivesorgin of my name
I am a man looking for the orgin of my first name. My paternal grandparents were Irish and Polish. My father told that Grandma Burrows found in the Bible but I don't know where. Also he said that it might be the male version of Desiree. Please tell me if either is true.

Desirus seems to be the short of Desiderius, a Latin name that was translated into French as "Désiré", with "Désirée" as female form... :-)
