Shada
Can someone tell me more about this name? I've seen it on various websites and in my baby name book meaning 'pelican' and that it's Native American but where exactly does it come from and how is it pronounced?

To me, the website looks ok, so the language info itself might be reliable; but who can be sure that this is more than an accidental correspondence? It would not be hard at all e.g. to simply invent something like "Shada" as a name, and then later find out: Surprise, surprise, that means something in some small language, with only 50'000 speakers, according to the pages given above...
