SINA(H) as a Gaelic / Hebrew name
The feminine name SINA(H) is quite popular in Germany. Rosa und Volker Kohlheim (Das große Vornamenlexikon, Duden-Verlag Mannheim 2003) explain it as
a) a short form of names like Rosina, Teresina, Alfonsina etc.)
b) a variant of Sheena (Gealic form of Joan)
c) a Hebrew name meaning "splendour"Can anyone confirm b) or c)? I checked a number of Hebrew dictionaries and could not find a word meaning "splendour" that looked like sina.
