What about the novel Gracelin O'Malley by Ann Moore?
It is a historical novel, set in 19th century Ireland.Of course, the author may have invented the modern-sounding Gracelin for her heroine. But if she really did her homework, she would only give her characters names which actually were in use during this period."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)

It also has an intriguing anagram: Gracelyn = Cry, angel!  ·  Pavlos  ·  11/14/2005, 11:05 PM
