I'm not sure if that is the correct spelling, but it is the only one i am familiar with. Are there alternate spellings of the name Phalene? (phuh-leen)
I have heard it is a French name meaning "night moth", but I'm not sure how accurate this information is. Does anyone have information on this name?

In Italian "falena" means inded night-moth and I think "phalène" is the French version of the word, but I've never heard either used as a person's name.
