I have a Bulgarian friend who I want to host a Name Day Party for and want to get a "icon" suitable for the name... is there a source for such gifts?

Well...
since your friend has a name-day, chances are he/she has a patron saint. So, you can go to the nearest Eastern Orthodox church and buy a small icon of the saint.
