Where did you find a phrase "dating back to 1970" in what this site says about Corinna?
In the modern era it has been in use since the 17th century, when it was used by Robert Herrick in his poem 'Corinna's going a-Maying'.

That's probably where she got it from and she either misunderstood or misread it.
