It's a Russian feminine name that I read in a book. I'm pretty sure Kashka's a pet form of another name...Does anyone know what that name is?

It would probably be the pet form of the Russian form of Catherine.

My cousin's wife is sometimes called Kaśka (Polish form pronounced KAHSH-kah) and her name is Katarzyna (Polish form of Catherine.

Ditto Kirke, Kaska is a Polish diminutive of Katarzyna so I am guessing this would be a diminutive form of Ekaterina.
