Not really sure the only two of my baby name books that mention it disagree
One says it means Accustomed ? another says it means little Sun
Sol means the sun in Spanish and Portuguese so maybe the second meaning is the closest

It probably means "little sun" but maybe it could also be a diminutive form of Soledad or a nn for Marisol?
It's a cute name!

without actually looking it up, I would say it has something to do with the sun. Sol is the Spanish word for sun, and Solita has kind of a Spanish sound to it.
