Hi Solita,
even if sol is Spanish for sun, little sun in proper Spanish would be solcita or solecita. Solita means little loner as it is a diminutive form of "sola", which is the female form for "alone".
However, in some Spanish speaking countries, people do use "solito" referring to "a little sun", so it would depend totally on what whomever gave you such name meant by it... as usual, it comes to that.

Not really sure the only two of my baby name books that mention it disagree
One says it means Accustomed ? another says it means little Sun
Sol means the sun in Spanish and Portuguese so maybe the second meaning is the closest
