Wrong Gender!!!!!!!!!!!
Under Biblical names, it says that the name HANANIAH is for a boy. It's not!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a friend HANANIAH, and she's a girl! Would the owner of this site PLEASE CHANGE IT!!!!!!! It's wrong, at least change it to both genders! I don't want people thinking it's a boy name and then meeting a girl with that name. I went to the submit page where you can correct a name, too, I did that twice, it hasn't gotten changed, so PLEASE CHANGE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you when you say that person should change it from 'masculine' into 'unisex', but aren't you a little overreacting?
I agree with what previous posters have said. Just because it was used for a girl once or twice doesn't mean it's a girl's name. For example, I know a girl named Tanner. That doesn't mean it's a girl's name.
Like Shaymin said, Hananiah is a masculine name in the Bible. The fact that it has occasionally been used on a girl does not make it a girls' name, any more than John would be if it was used on a girl.
This site is run by a name enthusiast as a hobby. He does not get paid for it and has his own job and family to consider first. He also has a long list of more important updates and changes to consider. Hananiah might eventually be uptdated to say "m & f" but if so it will be a long time from now, as user-submitted names are a long way down the list of things to do.
Also, it's considered bad manners here to use so much punctuation. One exclamation mark will suffice to express your emotions.

Hananiah is a male name. It was born by several male characters in the Bible and there is no indication (that I can find, perhaps I am wrong) that this was ever used on females, historically speaking.
There is the similar feminine name of Hannah, so I suppose it is possible that some parents out there might think it would make a nicer alternative to Hannah. However, just because you know a girl named Hananiah does not automatically make it a female name. There are tons of male names out there that have been used on females. Just because its used once or twice on a female doesn't automatically make it a unisex name.
Also, I would refrain from using so many exclamation marks. Its not very polite.

Exactly that
