I was doing some family geneology research and I came across the name Mordaunt. I only know that it's a masculine name and that it was used in about the 1840's.
Anyone else know more information? It would be very appriciated.

I googled it at found that it's an English surname. There's an entire website dedicated to the geneology of the Mordaunt family (www.mordaunt.com). Not sure of the meaning though.
