I don't know what my name really means, and what kind of name is it? My Dad says that it is a Irish name, but it doesn't seem so.

Everyone always tells me that I have such a pretty name, but I don't know what it means. I would like to one day be able to tell those people the actual meaning of my name if there is one. Please if you can help me I would really appreciate it.

How about Welsh - Siani, pet form of Sian which is the Welsh form of Jane. Shanee and Shani are both establish Anglo forms based on the pronunciation/phonetic spelling of Siani.
