Itacate
Does anyone know the meaning and pronunciation of the name Itacate? She's the main character of the book "The Goldsmith's Daughter" by Tanya Landman. The book is set in the Aztec era, but I don't know if the name is authentic Aztec. Does anyone know more?
Thou hast slain me, O my bride, and may it serve thee no whit,
For the soul within me loveth thee, not since yesterday nor today,
Thou has left me weak and broken in mien and in shape,
Betray me not who love thee, my Little Dark Rose!
From Róisín Dubh, translated by Patrick Pearse (1879–1916)

Not sure about the origin, but I'm assuming the pronounciation is ih-ta-CAH-tay.
