Three Names
1. According to the site, Cordelia is supposed to come from the Celtic name Cordeilla. Anyone know what it means?
2. Bavon or Bavo was a saint with a cathedral in Ghent. He's called Baaf in Belgium. What's the origin/meaning of the name?
3. Jaenbert was an 8th century Anglo-Saxon monk. His name has many variants:
Jaenberht
Jaenbeorht
Janibert
Janbriht
Jambert
Lambert
Lanbriht
Genegberht
The Lambert variation sounds a bit dubious but Lambert could be a form of Jaenbert, I guess. Anyway, anyone know what Jaenbert means?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Baaf / Bavo: origin is very uncertain. Could possibly have been derived from names with the element badu- meaning "battle"
Jaen is a name derived from Johannes (click for meaning), -bert means "bright, shining". It sounds like a combination of those two elements to me.
Can't help you with Cordeilla.
