Iseult vs. Isolde?
In the story of Tristan and Isolde, what is the difference between Isolde and Iseult? Was there even an Iseult? And if so, what importance was she to the story? I really love the name Iseult, but I have heard tellings of this story that put this name's history in a bad light. And is Isolde pronounced Ee-Sold, or Ee-Sol-duh?

Iseult and Isolde are just variants of each other. I've seen them used interchangeably within Arthurian legend, as are a few other Arthurian names (Ygraine and Igraine for example). You can click on Isolde to see the pronunciation.
