Names from 1880's London
I am looking for a list of names popular in 1880's London, particularly womens. Any suggestios would be helpful, and as fast as possible. If possible, the etymology would be a great help as well.

The Dunkling suggestion is a great one.
You could also look at the FamilySearch site online (Church of Latterday Saints genealogy website). It's free to use and you don't have to register. They have the 1881 Census there for all English counties - London will come under "Middlesex". You'll have to put in a surname for the names to come up - if you put a common surname you should get alot of results.

Are you looking for women who were a particular age in 1880, or a list of the popularity for all women and girls who were alive in London at that time?
According to Leslie Dunkling's Guinness Book of Names, the 20 most common names for girls born in England & Wales as a whole in 1850 were Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Ann, Eliza, Jane, Emma, Hannah, Ellen, Martha, Emily, Harriet, Alice, Margaret, Maria, Louisa, Fanny, Caroline, Charlotte, and Susannah. I would bet all of those would have been well represented in London during the 1880s. You can find the etymology for all of them on this site by clicking on the links.
