I have looked everywhere to find the meaning of my name but no one seems to know, i seem to remember a long time ago seeing that it meant bitterness but i would like to know for sure.. if anyone knows please help me out

Your name is an alternate form of Maria. And Maria comes from Miryam, Hebrew for "Wished-for child".
There is disputed meaning, though:
The original Miryam of the Hebrew scriptures was sister to Moses and Aaron. Some scholars believe her name, and those of her brothers, could have originated in the ancient Egyptian language, and that their meanings are lost. Others offer alternate interpretations, including ''rebellion'' and ''sea of bitterness.''
So that's probably where you got the bitterness thing from.
