Where does the surname Swart and Groenewald come from? Is it Dutch?

Yes, Anneza is right, they are Dutch. Swart is in commonly written as 'zwart' (black), this name is a different spelling of that.

'Groen(e)' is green and 'wald' is dialect of 'woud' (forest).

Dutch and, now, Afrikaans. Swart = Black. Groenewald = Green forest.
