I've heard that
Enola was originally an American Indian name, but since the names of Native Americans were not collected with very much care, many of the meanings were lost. Some people say this is just "alone" backwards, but the American Indian used names with much more meaning, and besides, why would they have used English names!?
I hope you are not going to USE the name, since
Enola Gay was the airplane carrying the bomb Little Boy, which destroyed Hiroshima.
