Either a Christian surname, indicating one who held the office of bishop, or as a masculine and feminine baptismal name likely deriving from the Old French for "thirsty."

Just thought of this...Perhaps Sidelle's a combo form of Sidney / Sidonie and Elle or Ella.Miranda (who knows this post is rather late)

Could be a variation on Sybil / Sibyl / Sibilla etc.There's a place in West Yorkshire, England, a village called Siddel but that would be a unusual source.
