Does anyone have any information regarding the name
Annemund? I posted about it about, oh, 2 1/2 years ago, and didn't find any information.
Here's what I know about it:
It is masculine.I think it's English, but I'm not sure.It is borne by a seventh-century saint, see: http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=1420
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance! :-)
Edited... Could the Anne- part of the name simply be derived from the name Anne? Perhaps after the mother of the Virgin Mary? And that was adopted by the Saint as a name of respect towards Saint Anne? I'm assuming from earlier information that the -mund part of the name is definitely High German. Could anyone approve or disapprove of this theory?
