Does anyone have or know where information regarding the meaning and origin of the first name Rivlyn might be found?

It is a male name which I understand is localized to Belle Island off the coast of Newfoundland. Presumably the ethnic background is English.

Any information would be appreciated.

A Dictionary of English Surnames by Reaney & Wilson gives Rivlin and Rivling as surnames from the Middle English word riveling, "rogue, rascal". Perhaps Rivlyn is just an alternative spelling of that surname.
