Yareli (f)
I saw that Yareli is a Hebrew name meaning 'singing' in the user-submitted section. Both meaning and name are beautiful!
But I question the meaning and origin, as I cannot find any other sources to back this up.
All I can find is that Yareli is possible Native American meaning water woman.
Seems like lots of folks think it's a contrived name of American or Hispanic origin.
Also saw that it's a variation of Oralee ("Lord is my light), and there is also the name Orali, which means "light" (also Hebrew).
I've only known one person with this name, and she was Hispanic.
Can anyone direct me to another source of more information?
Thanks in advance.

The meaning has changed, 5 years ago it was “Gold”, the golden one. Hispanic origin. Now it’s something else..
How can that happen?

I can't think of any Hebrew word for singing that sounds as though it's related to Yareli, nor any Hebrew name that sounds like it (maybe Yaeli in an R-omitting accent? Names in Hebrew are usually anglicized letter by letter, so I doubt it.)
