Is Sigismund a half-latinised German name?

I think Siegmund is the actual, authentic German form, while Sigismund strikes to me as half-latinised (because of the 'Sigis') part. I guess the Latin version of this name must have been Sigismundus.

How right am I about this? I really would like to know.
