Hey does anyone know the origin of the name Lauren? I've seen it as a French name, an Irish name, and an English name. Was the name made up for Lauren Bacall, or was it around before the 1930's/40's? Did it come from Laura? Was the male version, Loren, around before it? Also, what is the exact meaning, besides coming from laurel. Would appreciate any answers. Thanks!!
