Ran across this name and thought it intriguing(sp). Initially it looks like something from Greek Mythology but couldn't find anything during a quick search. There was a zebra/horse hybrid born in Germany that was given this name(F). I would've pronounced it Ek-LIE-see(I'm from NE USA), but on the report it was given as Ek-LEE-za.
Anyone have any info on origin or any other trivia? Thanks!

aww she's so cute, although she looks a bit like she's had an encounter with Banksy in the night, lol. Apparently it's a hybrid of her parents names Eclipse and Ulysses, to reflect her hybrid parentage. I guess they just made up a pronunciation, I would have said Ek-LIE-see too on first glance.
