Coelbren is a village on the edge of the south wales (u.k.) coalfield.
The original meaning of the name is apparently lost in welsh history. Some say it comes from an ancient game played in the "Mabinogion" where lots or sticks are cast
I've been trying to get more info myself but unfortunatley not much joy.
There is of course the "Coelbren" alphabet
