One of my professors has 2-year-old twin girls. I have known him since before they were born (when his wife was jokingly referred to as "triwoman", because they were 3-in-one), but just recently he was talking about their names. The girls are
Lucia and Veiva.
Lucia, because the mom is Italian, and Veiva, after his mom. The only thing they know about grandma Veiva's name is that she was named after a character in some 18 century novel. Does anybody have any clue as to what the novel is (or where the name might come from)? I am really curious.
