my friends's birthday is coming up and she always would say how she can never find the meaning of her name, so I thought it would be a great gift to get the meaning and have a friends of mines draw her a poster with her name and the meaning, can someone please help me out. she is female and is of part african american heritage. I asked her mom where did she get the name and she said someone just gave it to her. I did look it up here and am not sure if it would be considered a deravitive of the name Charis.
