From the Greek word "Ekklesiastes", which comes from translating the Hebrew word "Qoheleth" for the Old Testament(The Holy Bible). A Qohelet was the official orator who would address to the assembly.
Akklesiastes means "The preacher".
Hope this is accurate, comprehensible and helps you a little,
Magia.

I quite agree, Magia :)
However I am not so sure about Ekklesiastes being derived from Qoheleth. As far as I know, it is derived from the word "Ecclesia" (Church) which is derived from "Ekkalein" (to summon forth" (: ek-, out; + kalein, to call).
