http://greenvilleonline.com/obits/archives/033100.htm gives a Parasade Gowens (presumably the 1920s entry). Her siblings include a Joseph, Cornell, Quay, Rufus, Cleveland and two sisters, Ruth and Blakie. What I always think of as really American names.
Googling Parisade brings up a line of pedigree dogs fow whom Parisade is their given name (not breed name).
But this quote

suggests that you should look in the dictionary or the encyclopedia for 'Parisade' (parasade and parazade are clearly respellings), who is probably the same person as the Parizade mentioned in this story:

Parasade seems to be an Indian (Asian, not American) word or name, perhaps spread to the South through the story mentioned above, and then spread through families.
