A woman from Lydia. The name has come to mean a cultured woman.
This is from a site with a HUGE search base. remember in different countries names mean different things. Also, different spellings of a name can mean different things.
I JUST LOOKED INTO THIS ONE MORE THAN ONE SITE AND ON ONE THAT TELLS YOU WHAT IT MEANS IN DIFFERENT CULTURES.EVERYONE OF THEM SAY IT MEANS A WOMAN FROM LYDIA. THERE ARE A TON OF DIFFERENT CULTURES THAT USE IS AND A TON OF WAYS TO SPELL IT. HERE ARE JUST THE RUSSIAN ONES.
LIDIJA, LIDIA, LIDIYA, LIDOCHKA, LIDA: from Lydia
ALL HAVE THE SAME MEANING. So my point of saying different cultures put different meanings with it JUST WENT OUT THE WINDOW LMAO
