Any idea what the female name Toyah means, can't find it listed on any site

In the UK the most famous person of that name is singer and actress Toyah Willcox. Her website says that her name comes from a tribe of American red indians. There is also a place in Texas called Toyah.

Without being given any ethnic/cultural infomation... how about a variant of Toya?

Toyah is popular in north west England, someone suggested it may be from an Irish origin, if that's any help. I have no idea what it means.
