Amabilis is pronounced ah-MA-ba-liss, but I pronounce Amabel AM-ah-bel.

Since Annabel is used as a variant form of Amabel, it makes sense that Amabel would be pronounced like AM-a-bel. If the two names had nearly identical pronunciations it would be easy to confuse the two.

I am pretty certain the most common pronunciation (in the US, at least) is "AH-muh-bell", with the "ah" being said like the a in apple.

I could see an argument for "AW-muh-bell" but I have certainly never heard it said that way.
