Is my name derived from French or Latin? I'm confused, they say that Claudine is a faminine form of Claudius and derived from latin, Claudius means lame and crippled while Claudine says that the name is derived from French. I'm confused...

Claudius is Latin, yes, but Claudine is a French feminine form of it. Claudia is a Latin feminine form of Claudius.

So, Claudine is French, but it derives from a Latin name. It's both.
