Yael?
Is Yael pronounced yai-elle? It may sound stupid but every time I read how it’s pronounced I can’t seem understand it and I don’t know why could you tell me a word rhymes with or sounds like. Thanks so much

Yes.
I've only ever heard Ya-ell, to rhyme with: Ah well!
Hope that helps ...pronunciation is a minefield.

Yep- it's yah-ELL in Hebrew (sounding it out in an American accent, I found out that English and Hebrew have a different L. How much variation can there be in an L?)
Two that I can think of! We don't hear them in English because they don't get used to indicate different meanings ... but if you listen closely to the English word "little", you'll hear a "light L" at the start and a "dark L" at the end. Magic!
To my ears, they only use the light version in French. Which one is used in Hebrew, or is there a third variation?
PS: Who are you calling American? I'm a happy South African, I am!

Yeah... but I can only do an American accent. I can't do a South African one. I don't think I can, anyway. What is a South African accent?
I'm not really sure what a Hebrew L is. In English it's with the tip of the tongue and heavier, in Hebrew it's not the tip. Hebrew always sounds accent-less to me. :/
