Help me find this name, please!!!!!!!!

Today at a playgroup I have heard a girl's name pronounced mahr-ron, I tried to figure out how it's spelled, but no luck so far. Anyone with any ideas?????TIAKaatje

Could be a variation of Maren.

btw, is Maren used as a frisian or dutch form of Maria?There are quite a few places that say so and BTN lists only the danish usage
