Heroine named September

I am looking for a book. My friends name is September,all she knows is that she was named after some book heroine. She was born in 1970 so it would have had to be written before that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Well, Jason, I've tried looking on GOOGLE, but I didn't see any book titled Heroine named September. If I ever come across it I'll be sure to inform you, okay?
