Apparently you didn't read the link entirely / correctly.
Anyway... you think the new vision of
Lilith is the good one, great for you. Accept that other people may prefer the religious vision.
I have studied theology "a bit", being from a rabbinical family... lol
I also know the magazine
Lilith. I have even read 4 or 5 of them because I wanted to know. It is a Reform Jewish magazine, and I'm traditional, so I really can't agree with them.
If "strong" women are seen as evil, why does the Bible praise
Judith,
Yael,
Miriam... ? If independent woman are seen as evil, why is that in most ultra religious households the *woman* works out of the house while the man stays at home?
Last thing: women's rights. I wish secular society gave me the rights my religion gives me. Really. No woman would have to be afraid of rape or of being seduced and dumped, unless the guy is deeply, deeply masochistic... The women would also not have moronic policemen laughing at them and asking if they didn't "provoke" the guy. Well... one can dream...
But you probably don't want to see things from that point of view, so anyway... You have the right to express yourself, so let other people do the same. If you're not too disgusted by the mere thought of a traditional thing, look for the definition of "rape" in Judaism. If you are a real feminist, you will love it (I love it, too).
