where did my name come from and what does it mean?

I have looked every where to find out what ethnic background my name has come from and I can not find it anywhere. And I would like to find out what it means to. Has no one ever used the name Timra before. I love my different name and the only names I have heard that are like mine are Tamahara, Tamara and so on. But none of them are Timra.

I have always wanted to meet someone with the same name as me! My mom said she made up the name Timra because she liked the name Timara but did not want to copy it. I have done searches on my (our) name before and found that Timra is a town in Sweden and that there is some character in one of the dugeons and dragons type games named Timra. I have always loved having an original name as well. Good luck with the search!

Hi Timra,

I don't know your name, but it reminds me of

1) Timora, which is a form of Temira (Hebrew: great, big, huge) and Tamara (Hebrew: date palm) or

2) Tindra (Swedish: sparkle, twinkle)
