in reply to a message by Satu
Indeed, Sevasti is an extremely rare name derived (as with Sebastian) from the Greek "sebas" meaning veneration.

Do you happen to know whether there is a Saint associated with the name, and if so when the name day is celebrated?

Yes, it is from Saint Sebastian. He was a Martyr He is venerated in the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church as the patron saint of athletics, archery, and plagues. The name actually means to be venerated or respected.
variations are: Sebastianos, Sebastiana, Sebasti/Sevasti, Seva, Sevi. The last two are diminutives of the name.
In the Greek Orthodox church the name day is celebrated on December 18th.
