I adopted a nickname very early in life and never used my first name.Does anyone know the correct pronunciation. I am a hispanic male.

As a French name, the pronunciation of René is ruh-NAY, with a guttural 'r'. Americans tend to pronounce it (and its feminine form, Renée) re-NAY.
