Do you have any other information - origin perhaps.
I can find an Arabic word Kemi which is the ancient word for "Egypt" It is one of the elements from which the word 'alchemy' is derived.
There is also a place in Finland called Kemi - if you think it might be that I will try and discover the etymology of that if I can.
These may have something to do with it but if you have any idea where your parents got it from it might be useful.
