Bs and Vs are commonly interchangeable in Hebrew names, as shown in
Abigail
(Avigayil),
Abital
(Avital), and
Deborah
(Devorah).

the name in hebrew means father of
Dan
(
Daniel
). in hebrew and arabic it is very common to use such names like Abu Mazen = father of mazen etc
