The name 'Danika'

This is my favorite girl name and all my sources agree that it's from an Old Slavic word meaning "Morning Star, the plant Venus".
Well, my question is...what is that "Old Slavic" element?

There *is* a name Danika, although you are right - the "c" is pronounced as "ts" or "tz" n/t

I only meant that the name she is thinking of is with a 'tz' sound,not a 'k' as most English speakers think.
