Where did the name come from
Does anyone know the origin of the name "Nonnie" or is a name? Any help thank you very much...

Don't know where it came from, but here in South Africa it's worth avoiding: means "Little Mistress" or "Little Madam", and was what the servants used to call the daughter of the house! Some of whom continued to use it as a nickname throughout their lifetimes.
Nonnie
Hi Raymond,
I found some different meanings:
1) East Frisian variant of the pet name "Nonna" which is a form of Nanda (short for Ferdinanda!)
2) Swedish variant of the pet name "Nonna" (short for Yvonne or Eleonora)
3) Variant of the Breton name "Nonn" (sorry, but I don't know the meaning...)
4) Pet form of the Latin name "Nona"
I'm sure that there are much more possibilities as Nonnie is a typical pet name, and it's used for many names including "no" or "on".
