ArchivesTrying to find the origin of Isaline
Good day,
I honestly don't know what you can do, because I have very little information, but I'd like to at least try.
I named my daughter Isaline in honour of my mother, but I have not had any luck trying to find anything that could tell me what her name means. Unfortunately, I have had no luck within the family trying to understand the history, other than it has passed down from a great-aunt to my mother, and now to my daugther.
Our family originally comes from an island called Dominica and is part of the British Commonwealth. I think the name may have an English, Irish or Welsh origin, but that's all I've got.
If somebody knows of anyone else who may have this name, or where I could start doing my research, I would really be grateful. I just feel it's important, not only for my daughter to know who has been named like her, but how it could reflect her personality.
