I know on this site(and most others) it says Elena is a form of Helen, I was wondering if Elena is a traditional spanish name(and if so, what is the meaning), or is a spanish version, really from HelenThanks
It's Helen in Spanish.See, the H in Spanish is silent so it would be pronounced Elen anyways. And as most latinized names have an "a" at the end it became Elena.
